Peaches
A perfect match for sweet and salty.
Information
Originally peaches came from China, which is still where most peaches are cultivated. In principle, however, this plant in the rose family grows in every region on earth where a warm and dry climate prevails.
When perfectly ripe, its fruit pulp is juicy and sweet. With prodigious amounts of provitamin A, iron, calcium, and potassium, as well as B vitamins, peaches are appreciated by connoisseurs and health-conscious consumers alike.
A large proportion of the peach harvest is canned. Peach halves are popular in fruit salad, on cakes or as dessert. The fruit is also ideal for combining with savory salads or in meat dishes.
