We are expanding our B2B portfolio, together with Ocean Spray

We are exclusively expanding our B2B portfolio of infused dried fruits with the new quality products from Ocean Spray Cranberries.

  • Ocean Spray establishes its global quality standard for infused dried fruits in Europe for the first time with Zarecki Foods, the Polish processing partner and Bösch Boden Spies affiliate
  • The new Beyond Cranberries range from Ocean Spray will initially include infused dried sour cherries, cultivated blueberries and blackcurrants. All in consistent top quality from regional European cultivation.
  • As a traditional B2B distribution partner, Bösch Boden Spies markets this extended range of Ocean Spray products exclusively in continental Europe for the food industry and retailers.

Following a strategic initiative of its long-standing cranberry partner Ocean Spray, the leading European B2B food ingredients supplier Bösch Boden Spies is expanding its dried fruit product portfolio. In this context, they are working in close cooperation with Polish fruit processor Zarecki Foods, in which Bösch Boden Spies has held a stake since September 2020.

Ocean Spray has contributed its extensive processing expertise to the expansion of its strategic partnership with Bösch Boden Spies. The production experts of the world’s largest US cranberry producer, with annual sales of 2 billion euros, have closely supported the expansion of fruit processing specialist Zarecki Foods in Poland in recent months. As a result, they are ensuring Ocean Spray’s highest global quality standards.

“We are very proud that Ocean Spray, as the global market leader, is expanding its product portfolio together with us and can now also offer other infused dried fruits from Europe in addition to the successful cranberries. This step is a clear commitment to the European market and our customers. At the same time, Ocean Spray is opening a new chapter in its traditional single product strategy,” says Dirk Schmidt, Managing Partner and Co-CEO of Bösch Boden Spies, who is responsible for the newly created Value Added Processing service area.

The new Beyond Cranberries range from Ocean Spray initially includes sweetened dried sour cherries, cultivated blueberries and black currants in top quality from regional cultivation.

With this portfolio expansion, Bösch Boden Spies is consistently strengthening its position as a leading B2B supplier to the food industry and the retailers in Europe. At the same time, Bösch Boden Spies and Ocean Spray are thus creating a new quality standard in the category of infused dried fruits.

“We are looking forward to working with Bösch Boden Spies and Zarecki Foods on this strategic project, which will significantly expand our product portfolio in Europe” said Lee Doleman, General Manager Ingredients EMEA at Ocean Spray. “This is a unique opportunity for our historic brand to expand our portfolio to include more infused dried fruits of the highest quality and based on raw ingredients of safe European origin, leveraging Zarecki Foods’ state-of-the-art production facilities.”
