Of all nuts, walnuts have the highest content of linolenic acid (approx. 7,500 milligrams/100 grams) - one of the essential omega-3 fatty acids that help to maintain healthy cholesterol levels. The tender kernels are also rich in antioxidant tocopherol and the trace elements zinc and potassium. The latter are important for healthy skin, hair and nails, among other things.

Walnuts are versatile and versatile in their use. Whether in cakes or ice cream, as a sweet, crunchy brittle, in savory dips or pasta dishes or as a nutty salad topping with a fine texture - walnuts add that certain something to many dishes.
