Fresh green Thompson Seedless grapes - the starting product for Australian premium raisins

Sultana Crop Update February 2025

Further very positive news about the upcoming 2025 Sultana harvest recently reached us from Australia. Due to the almost continuously dry and hot weather in recent weeks around the Mildura / Murray River growing region, the drying of the first, early Sultana varieties is now in full swing. Berry development in the later harvesting varieties such as Sunmuscats is also proceeding excellently under favorable weather conditions, combined with a rapid ripening process and the expectation of an earlier start to harvest than in previous years. The fruits are characterized by a fruity-sweet taste and an intense, bright color. The first raisin varieties have already been delivered for further processing. This year's hot summer has definitely created ideal conditions for a high-yielding and high-quality harvest. The mood among growers and producers is correspondingly optimistic.
