Fresh green Thompson Seedless grapes - the starting product for Australian premium raisins

Sultana Crop Update January 2025

According to the weather app, the weather in the growing regions around Mildura, Victoria, is dry and hot; ideal for giving the various varieties grown a good boost to achieve the highest possible Brix value before the drying phase begins. Smaller growers who grow early-maturing sultanas have already started drying. However, most growers are focusing on the higher-yielding and more weather-resistant Sunmuscats. Their drying phase is expected to start at the end of February 2025, provided the weather remains stable. The first shipments from the origin are not expected until early April 2025 at the earliest.
