The acerola cherry has one of the highest natural vitamin C contents of all fruits, over 30 times higher than orange juice. Puree and concentrate with different vitamin C contents, also in organic quality, are available. In addition to vitamin C, it contains a lot of riboflavin and fulfills nutritional claims according to European regulations.
Acerola is used to enrich natural vitamin C and can be mixed with other fruit juices. Its slightly sour taste is used in jams and dairy products. As an antioxidant, it stabilizes drinks, ice cream and canned fruit.
