Good for your health, good for your taste.
Compared to other types of nuts, almonds have a rather low fat content of approx. 50 % fat. The low proportion of saturated fatty acids is an advantage. The majority consists of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are very valuable in terms of nutritional physiology.
Almonds are also rich in fiber, vitamin B2, phosphorus, magnesium, copper, manganese, folic acid, potassium, calcium, iron and zinc. With a high vitamin E content, flavonoids and phenolic acids, natural almonds offer excellent antioxidant potential.
Almonds are characterized by their distinctive, slightly sweet taste and crunchy, nutty texture. Whether natural or blanched, sliced, slivered or chopped, they are used all year round in chocolates, bars, muesli and yoghurt. Natural almonds have a stronger taste than blanched almonds and are used as a topping or ingredient for color contrasts and visual highlights.
Whether pure or roasted, almonds offer a wide range of flavors from sweet to savory. Our portfolio includes an exquisite selection of almonds: conventional Californian almonds, organic Californian almonds and organic Spanish almonds.
