Bösch Boden Spies at the world leading trade show for organic food

This year, the ingredients specialist Bösch Boden Spies will be exhibiting for the first time at BIOFACH in Nuremberg, the world’s leading trade fair for organic food. From February 12 to 15, the Hamburg-based company, together with various brand partners, will be presenting organic ingredients and innovative product concepts for organic drinks and snacks.

By exhibiting at BIOFACH (Stand: 6-381), Bösch Boden Spies underlines the growing importance of organically produced ingredients in its product range. The range currently includes organic ingredients from 11 brand partners. The trade fair presentation will focus on cranberries (Ocean Spray), goldenberries (Terrafertil), almonds (Valley Pride), acerola (Niag-ro), passion fruit (Quicornac) and sea buckthorn (Hippocrates Farm). To demonstrate the versatility of these ingredients, and to stimulate product innovation in the organic foods segment, Bösch Boden Spies is presenting new product concepts for beverages (based on acerola and passion fruit) and snacks (based on sea buckthorn, cranberry and almond).

Ocean Spray presents its sustainability plan

Besides “organic,” the broader theme of “sustainability” also plays an important role in the tradeshow presentation of Bösch Boden Spies and its brand partners. For instance, Ocean Spray will be providing information about its sustainability plan, which covers all stages of production. Ocean Spray’s more than 700 farmers have committed themselves to 6 sustainability principles that ensure a mindful treatment of people and nature. The goal for 2020 is to grow 100 percent of all cranberries in a sustainable manner. Other measures in the sustainability plan concern further processing up to packaging. Already, 96 percent of Ocean Spray packaging is recyclable. The company intends to increase this figure to 100 percent by 2025.
