Code of Conduct and Ethical Guidelines

The Code of Conduct of BBS is based on the international labour standards for the protection of labour rights such as conventions and declarations of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the United Nations (UN) Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights as well as the Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
Bösch Boden Spies is committed to these principles and obliges itself and its business partners to implement the following 11 key points step by step in the supply chain and to ensure compliance:

  • Fair remuneration:
    Our company respects the right of workers to
    fair remuneration.
  • Health and safety:
    Our company provides a healthy and safe working
    environment, evaluates the risk, and takes
    all necessary measures to eliminate or reduce it.
  • Special protection for the young:
    Our company offers special protection to all workers who
    are not yet adults.
  • No bonded labour:
    Our company does not engage in forced labour, human trafficking, or involuntary labour.
  • Ethical business conduct:
    Our company does not tolerate
    acts of corruption, extortion, embezzlement,
    or bribery.
  • No discrimination:
    Our company provides equal opportunities and does
    not discriminate workers.
  • Right to freedom of association and representation of interests:
    Our company respects the right of workers to form their own representations of interests.
  • Reasonable working hours:
    Our company complies with the Working Hours Act.
  • No child labour:
    Our company does not hire workers below the
    legal minimum age.
  • No precarious employment:
    Our company hires employees based on legally documented contracts.
  • Environmental protection:
    Our company takes the necessary measures to avoid
    environmental damage.
